JOB TITLE  JOB DESCRIPTION
 Municipal Finance/Purchasing Office Opening Upper Township, Cape May County accepting applications for a Full-Time position in the Municipal Finance Office. The candidate must be highly motivated, detail orientated with good communication and organizational skills Duties include assisting the CFO with all statutory duties including but not limited to; accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, purchasing and routine clerical duties. Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality a must. Applicants must possess a QPA certification or willing to obtain certification. Must be proficient in Word and Excel. Experience with Edmunds software a plus.  PURCHASING AGENT – BRICK TOWNSHIP The Township of Brick is seeking a highly motivated and experienced full-time Purchasing Agent. This position reports to the Business Administrator. The Purchasing Agent has full authority, responsibility, and accountability for all purchasing functions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: establishing accepted purchasing methods and records, preparing specifications, reviewing requisitions, evaluating bids, recommending award or rejection of contracts, seeking or authorizing the solicitation of quotes, maintaining bidder lists, and handling complaints. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, accurate, and self-directed with superior organizational skills. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. Familiarity with Edmunds software, Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred. NJ Qualified Purchasing Agent certification is required. A minimum of five years of experience in a municipal Purchasing Office is required. Graduation from an accredited school with a Bachelor’s degree is required. Supervisory experience preferred. This is a full-time position with salary dependent on qualifications and experience. PURCHASING AGENT TOMS RIVER DEPARTMENT/ DIVISION: PURCHASING  -  TOWNSHIP OF TOMS RIVER
TITLE: Purchasing Agent

This is to advise that the position Purchasing Agent now available in the Purchasing Division. The Job Description and Qualifications are as follows:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business related area preferred
Minimum of (4) year’s related experience preferred
Certification as an RPPS (Registered Public Purchasing Specialist), RPPO (Registered Public Purchasing Official), or QPA (Qualified Purchasing Agent)
Experienced writing bid specifications
Knowledge of Local Public Contract Law
Experience managing staff preferred

SPECIFICATIONS:
Management of the Purchasing Division, inclusive of all purchasing functions and staff
Effectively writes bid specifications
Researches potential bids and conducts bid research meetings with vendors
Overseeing public advertising, receiving bids and requests for proposals for goods and services
Evaluates bids
Awards contracts pursuant to NJ purchasing laws and regulations
Works with other departments to guide and ensure compliance with NJ purchasing process, laws and Township policies
Assists with establishing and developing accepted purchasing methods and records in accord with prescribed laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures
Develops and implements a centralized purchasing system including all necessary procedures, forms, and files
Assigns, supervises, and reviews work of subordinates
Prepares temporary and final appropriation budgets and transfers
Confidential Position.
Hours: 35 hours per week.
Salary Range: $85,000.00 -$105,000.00
